President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service to fill existing vacancies and strengthen leadership for improved public service delivery.
A statement from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Mrs. Eno Olotu, on Monday, announced the appointments as part of the President’s commitment to transparency, meritocracy, and professionalism in governance.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are:
1. Ibrahim Abdulkarim Ozi – Federal Capital Territory
2. Ezemama John Chidiebere – Imo State
3. Garba Abdul Sule Usman – North Central Geo-Political Zone
4. Mohammed Musa Ishiyaku – North East Geo-Political Zone
5. Ukaire Binyerem Chigbowu – South East Geo-Political Zone
According to the statement, the selection process was rigorous and transparent, designed to ensure that only the most qualified and experienced officers were chosen to serve.
Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, mni, congratulated the new appointees and lauded President Tinubu for his “unwavering commitment to entrenching the principles of meritocracy and excellence in the Civil Service.”
She stated that the appointments would further reinforce the Federal Government’s drive toward a more efficient, accountable, and citizen-focused public service capable of implementing the administration’s Renewed Hope development agenda.
The Head of Service reaffirmed that the Tinubu administration remains dedicated to building a results-oriented workforce that meets the aspirations of Nigerians through professionalism, competence, and integrity.
