As Muslims across Nigeria mark this year’s Eid al-Adha, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, has extended warm wishes to all civil servants and their families, calling on them to rededicate themselves to national service with humility and integrity.
In a goodwill message released Tuesday, Walson-Jack urged civil servants to reflect on the values of sacrifice and devotion that define the Eid season, noting that these virtues are essential in fostering a responsive and efficient civil service.
“As we commemorate this sacred festival, be reminded of our shared responsibility to serve with humility, integrity, and a renewed commitment to the progress of our beloved nation,” she said.
The civil service chief emphasized the need for excellence, professionalism, and patriotism in public service delivery, saying these values are vital for building a vibrant and effective civil service system.
“May this season bring peace to your hearts, blessings to your homes, and purpose to your service,” she added.
Mrs. Walson-Jack concluded by wishing civil servants a joyous and peaceful celebration, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting their welfare and capacity development.
