In a move hailed as a historic milestone, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of Mr. Alfred Agaba Abah as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Civil Service Matters.
In a statement released in Abuja Mrs. Walson-Jack emphasized that this marks the first time such a position has been established in Nigeria’s civil service, reflecting the administration’s dedication to advancing reforms aimed at boosting the efficiency and effectiveness of the civil service.
She praised the newly appointed Alfred Abah as an accomplished administrator and a retired Director of the Federal Civil Service, known for his integrity and professionalism.
“With over three decades of dedicated service in key roles across the public sector, Mr. Abah’s expertise, transparency, and fairness make him uniquely qualified to strengthen the civil service’s role in delivering quality services to the Nigerian people,” she noted.
The appointment of Mr. Abah comes at a pivotal time, supporting ongoing efforts to ensure that the Federal Civil Service continues to evolve into a more dynamic and responsive institution capable of meeting the nation’s needs.
